Lead Minister
LANCE HANBEY
Lance Hanbey has been on staff since the Fall of 2018 when he moved to East Tennessee to attend school at Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan. He received his undergraduate degree from Boise Bible College and hails from the greater Seattle area. Lance loves to play sports, hike, and stay active. He has been working as the youth and associate minister UCC for the last 3 years and has been and recently stepped into the lead preaching role.
Alec Welch
Youth Minister
Alec Welch is from Joplin, MO and attended Ozark Christian College for his bachelors degree. He moved to East TN to attend school at Emmanuel Seminary at Milligan as well and just finished his second year. He is excited about joining the UCC team and working with the youth!

The Gaddy family has been a part of The Unicoi Christian Church since the beginning. Troy's grandfather helped actually build the church building. His mother was a member and Sunday school teacher, and his father was an Elder and Treasurer. Troy has been a faithful servant at UCC for many years. He has held the office of Chairman of the Board, Elder, Deacon, Song Leader, taught Sunday school, sung in the choir, helped build the parsonage, fellowship hall, and the two new additions to the present building.

WENDELL MESSIMER
Elder
Wendell Messimer is a long time member and elder at UCC. He has contributed many years of faithful service to the team and continues to serve in a variety of capacities! From teaching Sunday School to serving on the board and everything in between, Wendell is always ready and willing to help.

Elder
Christopher was born in Port Charlotte, FL. He has also lived in VA and NC. Christopher has employed by Citibank for over over 15 years and has faithfully attended Unicoi Christian for 20 years. Christopher has been a deacon at UCC for over 12 of those years. He has an amazing family including a wonderful wife and 2 daughters. He enjoys spending time with family as well as any type of outdoor activities including all types of sports.
Thomas Murray
Deacon
Tom moved to Unicoi County from Baltimore several years back with his family and began to attend Unicoi Christian Church. He and his wife Mary and his two daughters, Lana and Sam, have actively served in a variety of ways in the church. Tom was brought onto the board as a deacon this last year and is excited about what God has in store for the church!
